Kuwait’s Cassation Court on Thursday, September 17 upheld a death sentence for an Ethiopian maid for killing a Kuwaiti teenager. 22-year-old Rabiya Mahmoud was sentenced to death in November. The court sentenced her to death by hanging after she admitted to the public prosecution that she killed Siham Humood Flaitah Al Shemmari, 19, while the family members were resting after hosting a dinner reception celebrate the graduation of a relative.   According to reports on the case, Rabiya confessed that in March 2014 she took a knife and walked into the victim’s bedroom where she stabbed her in the chest. The victim survived the first stabs and pleaded for her life; however, Rabiya refused and stabbed her again until she died.   She then fled the house, but later headed to the Sulaibikhat police station and turned herself in at 5:45 am. She told officers that she stabbed the victim who was asleep, then locked her inside the room before leaving her employer’s house...

Former Lagos state Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget under Babatunde Fashola's government, Ben Akabueze has come out to defend his former boss in the N78 million website scandal which broke weeks ago. In an interview with Kadaira Ahmed of Straight Talk With Kaidaia, Ben Akabueze says they ran a very detailed government that checked against fraud and that if the former governor wanted to steal, it wouldn't be N78 million "I think it would be useful for people to look at the full scope of the project and then make a determination about whether or not it did not represent value for money. For me, we ran an annual budget of over N400bn. I think that if he (Fashola) really wanted to steal money, it wouldn’t be N78m out of over N400bn that he had access to. The Lagos state police command has arrested 42 year old Mrs Nimotu Raheem pictured above for allegedly kidnapping three children, a 4 year old set of twin Taiye and Kehinde, and a 16-month old boy, Fatai Adeola. at an Arabic School in Itire-Ikate, Surulere, Lagos yesterday September 17th. According to a report by The Nation , the Lagos state police commissioner, Fatai Owoseni while parading her, said the suspect accosted the mother of the three children along the road and demanded that she hands her children to her. “It was another woman who saw the manner the suspect demanded for the child and the mother gave the child out without any resistance or questions that now raised alarm. Fuji star, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma has reacted to the suspension of a Redeemed Church Pastor, Toyin Ogundipe who was said to have paid him to perform at a crusade slated to hold in one of the parishes in Lagos Island. The Fuji star declared that, although, the church’s management paid for the show, it is never done to expect him to pay back the “artiste fee” saying, “the fault is not ours, we were ready to perform for them until we learnt of the cancelation of the crusade”. Bauchi State-owned aircraft which was declared missing after ex governor Isa Yuguda exhausted his tenure has been found. The missing aircraft has landed in Nigeria from Morocco where the state government claimed it was discovered and recovered. The Embraer ERJ 145 touched down on the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport Bauchi at about 10 am Friday. Its whereabouts had been a subject of controversy as the new government suggested the aircraft was stolen by its predecessor and hidden in Morocco. In an address two weeks ago, Governor Mohammed Abubakar announced the airplane had been found in the north African country. Mr. Abubakar said the state’s public Property Recovery Committee traced the plane. “I wish to announce the fruitful efforts in locating the state owned “Embraer 145 aircraft in Morocco and soon it will land at the Abubakar Tafawa-Balewa international Airport in a matter of days,” the governor said. Senate President Bukola Saraki’s trial has begun at the Code of Conduct Tribunal. He is being arraigned for alleged false declaration of his assets when he was governor of Kwara state. Although Saraki is not physically present in court, he is represented by his lawyer, Mahmud Magaji.

A fearless Italian model spent 10 hours in June swimming with crocodiles in a lagoon in the Gulf of Mexico – some 30 miles from the coast – which is home to over 700 American crocodiles. In one extraordinary shoot, Roberta Mancino came face-to-face with a four-meter-long American crocodile. The photography team captured some enchanting pictures of Mancino inches away from the predators, when the crocodiles become more comfortable in her presence as she tried to be nice. Mancino said it has been a long-held dream for her to swim with crocodiles, but no one dared to fund her project before “because it is so dangerous.”

This happened a couple of days ago. A Channels TV presenter was reading the news about the Jos building collapse and midway through the coverage they returned on air without prompting her. She was shocked to see herself live as she'd been blowing or 'pouting' a kiss to her colleague when the camera returned to her. Her reaction is priceless. Lol. See that after the cut...
