The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) describes as “a deceptive window-dressing to hoodwink unsuspecting Nigerians” the release, by an aide of the President, of a mere list of some belongings of President Muhammadu Buhari and his Vice, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, in place of the pledge made to Nigerians by Mr. President as candidate of the APC on March 18, 2015, at exactly 5 pm . The party recalled that the President in his own words had stated to Nigerians that, “I pledge to publicly declare my assets and liability and also encourage my political appointees to publicly declare their assets and liability.” The PDP however, observed that President Buhari and his vice failed to produce copies of their declarations, detailing the exact nature and value of respective assets. Hollywood Power couple, Jay Z and Beyoncé recently took a holiday on the Galactica Star, an ultra-luxury yacht reportedly owned by Nigerian energy magnate Kola Aluko. The yacht, which costs £50 million (€65 million, $73 million), is 65 metres in length and can travel at 28 knots (32 mph) in favourable conditions. The Galactica Star can house up to 12 guests and contains a full-beam master suite, an upper-deck VIP cabin, and four further double cabins. Beyond this, is a “beach club” with a 10-square-metre balcony, tons of space to entertain guests, and a helipad. The Special Assistant to the Ekiti State Governor on Public Communications and New Media, Mr. Lere Olayinka has counselled the state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), to tell President Muhammadu Buhari to make his assets public properly as he promised Nigerians, rather than asking Governor Ayodele Fayose to declare his assets publicly. Olayinka stated that “Fayose was comfortable before he became governor. INEC officer, three other female bodies found in room in Anambra

The bodies of four women including that of a female INEC officer, Mrs Chinwe Obi, who was the electoral officer for Onitsha South Local Government Area have been found dead inside her home situated on Olisa Onyeka Crescent near the Commissioners’ quarters in Awka GRA, Anambra state yesterday September 9th. According to reports, the other thee women believed to be church members had come to commiserate with Mrs Obi whose husband who just returned from Cotonou about a week ago had died in the same house. The other three women were found dead with their bibles still in their hands. The state commissioner of police, Hosea Karma said the police was alerted after several calls made to Mrs Obi were unanswered so family members decides to check on her and on searching her house, they discovered the bodies of all the women. He ruled out murder as none of the women had any bruises on them. He said their bodies have been deposited at the state mortuary while investigations into the matte...
